The Brother 2 Brother group-level intervention is a psycho-educational and skill-building experience facilitated by the Prevention Services Coordinator. The group setting promotes and reinforces safer behaviors and provides interpersonal skills training in negotiating and sustaining appropriate behavior change to persons at increased risk of exposure or re-exposure to HIV. The intervention includes a series of small group sessions that will cycle throughout the program year. Each cycle addresses HIV risk reduction, behavioral self-management, assertion skills training, relationship skills and social support development, risk-reduction review, and identification of useful strategies. The intervention includes video presentations, lecture, participant story-sharing, and role-play.
