Last year was the debut of Parties with Impact, the signature event honoring the work of Positive Impact. We had so much fun, and met so many great new friends, that we couldn’t resist doing it again!
This year, Parties with Impact will take place on Saturday, November 7 at 8pm at the Granite Room in Castleberry Hill.
Your planning committee learned a few important things about throwing the ultimate dessert reception last year. You asked for it, and we delivered. Here are a few of the new and improved party essentials:
-Keeping track of your guests contributions will be incredibly easy! We have contracted with Xorbia, an online ticket processing company, to provide you and your guests an incredibly efficient, fast, and EASY platform to contribute. Each host will have their name listed on the website. Your guest simply clicks your name, selects the ticket price they wish to pay (minimum $50 contribution), and immediately receives a confirmation of payment. That’s it! If your guests are feeling generous, they can even contribute at higher levels. We will even have a spot for guests to purchase single tickets without going through a host.
-No complicated website addresses to remember! It will simply be: www.positiveimpact-atl.org. Once at the home page, there will be a fool-proof, can’t miss button to click for: more information, ticket purchase, and a link to email questions.
-Facebook tools! We’ll have an event posted on Facebook, which means you can simply invite your friends on Facebook, with all of the information at THEIR fingertips. Need wording to send out an email inviting friends not yet on Facebook? Cut and paste to your heart’s desire. Need more? Email me, and I’ll take care of it for you.
-The Granite Room in Castleberry Hill district! To quote a recent review on Yelp.com, “If you are looking for a venue to host an exhibit, this is the place.” Take a look yourself by visiting: http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-granite-room-atlanta.
-Can’t host 10 people for dinner? Not a problem. Host 5, or 3, or just you and a friend. With the difficult economy, we recognize how difficult it can be to find enough friends to be a Level 10 host. This year, we welcome hosts from any range, though we do ask you to bring as many friends to the table as possible. Most hosts had no problem finding 10 guests last year, and we hope to find even more this year. Make your evening as unique and special as you want. Ask me for ideas or suggestions.
