This workshop is designed to review legal and ethical issues and apply them in an Ethical Decision Making Model to complex cases where duty to warn and confidentiality are in conflict. Additionally, this workshop is designed to further therapist’s knowledge about gay (male) culture, relationship styles, sexual behavior and effective ways to talk with clients about these issues.
In this workshop, participants will:
- Learn current ethical guidelines and legal issues surrounding HIV reporting and confidentiality
- Practice ethical decision making in complex cases incorporating professional ethics standards and principles, and ethical decision making model and current law
- Increase cultural competence with gay culture: Invisibility, Sexuality, and Relationship Styles
Lunch will be provided. Register BEFORE March 19th and pay $50.00. Register AFTER March 19th
and pay $75.00.
